❓ Frequently Asked Questions about Sportchief Hunting Boots

✅ Which insulation to choose for Quebec winters?
Opt for at least 800 g of PrimaloftÂź or ThinsulateÂź. For active hunting, 600 g is often sufficient. For extended stand hunting, aim for 1000 g and above.

✅Can I dry my hunting boots near a wood stove or directly on a radiator?
This is really not recommended. Direct heat can damage the sole glue, crack the sealants, shrink materials, and damage the membrane. Basically, too much heat is never a good idea. Instead, let them dry in the open air or use a boot dryer designed for this. Your boots will thank you.

✅ Are leather boots suitable for wet terrain?
Yes, with regular waterproof treatment. Brush your boots after each outing and let them dry in the open air

✅ How to avoid blisters?
Measure your feet at the end of the day and add 1 cm. Try your boots with your usual hunting socks. Your toes should move without your heel slipping.

✅ Are neoprene boots really waterproof?
Yes, neoprene offers an excellent barrier against water and cold. For very intense activities or prolonged immersion, a breathable membrane in addition can improve comfort. Neoprene also allows for a lighter design without compromising product waterproofing.

✅ Can I use a single boot all year round?
It is not recommended. A winter boot will be too warm in summer. Prefer models adapted to each season to stay comfortable and perform well.
