What is the RECCO® technologies?

The RECCO® detector

Used by rescuers, this device sends a directional radar signal, similar to the projection of a flashlight. When the signal reaches a RECCO® reflector, it is bounced back to the detector, indicating the direction of the victim. The closer the detector gets, the stronger the signal becomes, allowing for precise location. The RECCO® detector is available in portable and helicopter versions, with a range of up to 80 meters in the air and 20 meters under the snow.
